Hoglick Aggregates Overview
(Arch2 Operations)
- Hog Lick Aggregates (“HLA”) operates a 92-acre quarry in Fairmont, WV with a total landholding of 277 acres
- HLA completed a $7mm capital investment program 2019 – 2023 that restarted operations and demonstrated HLA’s aggregate quality and volume.
- HLA is located one mile from I-79 and serves gas pipeline and drilling activity to the north and west.
- HLA has difficulty serving customers to the west because western access (via Boulder Lane) is closed.
- HLA’s largest operating cost is for diesel fuel to operate trucks and equipment.
To be competitive, HLA is working to:
- Reduce transport costs by using H2 trucks funded through a US Dept of Energy grant.
- Establish a faster/shorter route to the north and west to access growing gas/pipeline markets.
